01The one rule: never pay to get a job
A genuine employer pays you — you never pay them. Job Samadhan is free for job seekers, and job posts that ask for money are refused. If anyone asks for a registration fee, training fee, security deposit, uniform / kit charge, "document verification" fee, or money to "confirm" an offer letter, stop — it is a scam.
02Warning signs of a fake job
- A salary that is far above normal for the work, "no interview needed", or an offer before you have spoken to anyone.
- Pressure to decide or pay quickly — "only 2 seats left", "pay today or lose the job".
- Contact only through personal numbers or chat apps, with no company website, address or official e-mail.
- Requests for your OTP, UPI PIN, bank password, ATM card or a selfie with your ID.
- Work-from-home "tasks" — liking videos, rating hotels, data entry — where you must first deposit money to unlock earnings.
- Offer letters with spelling mistakes, free e-mail addresses, or a company name slightly different from a known one.
03Protect your information
- Never share an OTP with anyone — Job Samadhan will never ask for it.
- Share bank details, Aadhaar or PAN only after you have joined a company you have verified, and only through its official HR process.
- Keep conversations inside Job Samadhan until you are sure the employer is genuine. You can choose in Settings whether employers you apply to see your number.
- Look for the verified badge next to a company's name — it means the company sent us registration documents. Still use your own judgement.
04Going for an interview
- Check the company: its website, office address and reviews from people you trust.
- Meet at the company's office or a public place, in working hours. Tell a family member where you are going and share your location.
- Be careful with interviews at hotels or homes, or jobs that require you to travel to another city at your own cost before an offer.
- Read an offer letter fully before you sign. A real offer states the company, role, salary, location and joining date.
05Report anything that feels wrong
Every job page has a "Report this job" button, and every chat has report and block. Choose a reason — for example "Asks for money / registration fee" — and add a note. Our team reviews reports and removes fake jobs and accounts.
If you have lost money, call the national cyber-crime helpline 1930 or report at cybercrime.gov.in as soon as possible, and tell your bank.

06For employers
Fraudsters sometimes pretend to be well-known companies. Verify your company on Job Samadhan so candidates see the badge, post from your official details, and never ask candidates for money — posts and accounts that do are removed.
